Energy Survey

On 8th October 2008 Learning to Lead conducted an Energy Survey for United Herzlia Schools.

Learning to Lead (LTL) have a long history of working within Education.  LTL have worked with 152 schools from both the Private and Public Sector since 2000 and have been training leadership and conducting energy surveys in 100’s of South African organisations including Stuttafords, Woolworths, KWV, Massmart, Incredible Connection, City of Cape Town Council, The Presidency (Pretoria), Standard Bank, First National Bank, JP Morgan, Microsoft, Vodacom, PetroSA, Independent Electoral Commission and AngloCoal.

The Herzlia energy survey results have been compared to both schools and general business and government organisations.  The results have been atypical of most schools and have exceeded expectations and we have therefore compared these results to organisations that have shown high levels of energy and engagement within the South African context.

The energy survey was completed by 404 respondents and the results are of the best that we have seen to date.  The survey highlights areas of excellence and it must be noted that there is always room for improvements and definitely a requirement to maintain these healthy and positive results.  Please note that this survey is a direct reflection of the views and perceptions of 404 Herzlia staff members.  The comments that have been made throughout this document are interpretations and should not be considered the only version of the truth.

Although the results have been divided into each school within the Herzlia United Schools community, it is far more important that all the Herzlia schools focus on matching each other and out-performing the current results as a whole.  Although these results are very promising and significant, there is still much that can been done to build leadership capacity within all levels of the school, to promote more balance and personal energy preservation.
