Belinda Coptich (nee Geffen, class of 1976) writes:
‘Further to your e-mail, I can inform you that, at the grand old age of 50, I have recently graduated with a PhD in Education, examining the Jewish Identities of youth movement kids.
"Roots and Routes: Identity Development in a Jewish Youth Movement Context" was the title of my thesis. Not bad for the girl who failed Std. 6! I went on aliyah in 1973 but would have matriculated in 1976.
For the past seven years I have been working as Director of Northern Development for the Movement For Reform Judaism in the UK, based in Manchester. However, I have now returned to my former career as a biology teacher. I have attached a photo of myself at my graduation.’ |
