There are two common misunderstandings:

  1. How bursaries are raised and
  2. The role The Herzlia Foundation Trust plays in this process.

Myth

  • That full fee paying parents subsidise children who require a bursary, and
  •  The Herzlia Foundation Trust is adequately funded.

Reality

  • In truth Bursaries are funded from the income received from The Herzlia Foundation Trust’s endowment and from The United Jewish Campaign (UJC) and not from fees.
  • Income from The Herzlia Foundation Trust’s investments only provide for a portion of the annual cost of bursaries
