WELCOME BACK TO ALL STAFF AND PUPILS HERZLIA
2012 has arrived and I am happy to report that the year got off to a really smooth start which augers well for the year ahead.
The 1st term is traditionally an exceptionally busy one with a vast array of exciting events and activities including sports days, galas, camps, Seders and of course the start of a new academic year.
I hope that the new Herzlia Calendar that we have distributed this week will keep you abreast of all these events and activities.
Our schools are looking clean and tidy thanks to the hard work of our support staff and the classrooms have been technologically enhanced with new smart-boards, computers and data projectors.
This year we are embarking on an exciting staff development project which will involve all our teachers receiving training in the use of technology in the classroom. This will keep all our teachers at the forefront of education.
The construction of our new multi purpose hall has commenced on the High School campus, this is a hugely exciting undertaking for HERZLIA and we look forward to a facility that will be used across the system by all the schools in Highlands.
We look forward to a fantastic first term and wish you a wonderful and successful 2012.

Primary school g
irls
All girls to only wear skorts for both summer and winter, with black stockings during winter and white ankle socks in summer. No tracksuit pants are to be worn

Primary school boys
Shorts in summer
Trackpants in winter (but these are to be phased out by June when we intend instituting new bottoms for the boys)
Tracksuit jackets can be worn until June and will then be phased out so it is suggested that parents do not buy new tracksuit jackets from January 2012.
Middle and High School girls
Only wear skorts or skirts for both summer and winter, with black stockings for winter and white ankle socks for summer. No tracksuit pants are to be worn.

Tracksuit jackets can be worn until June and will then be phased out so it is suggested that parents do not buy new tracksuit jackets from January 2012.
We will be finalizing the issue of tops (polar fleece zips, v neck jerseys and cardigans) shortly and update you accordingly. There is a quality problem with the school jersey and they have been returned to the supplier.
