Friday 18 May - Shabbat Dinner with MHC
Dafna will be hosting a Shabbat dinner in conjunction with the MHC. The cost will be R120.00 per adult and R60.00 per child over 3 years. Please note that this is not a fundraiser we will only be covering costs. Please let us know in the office if you would like to book your place to spend this special Shabbat with family and Dafna friends.

Tuesday 15 May - Mother's Day Celebrations
Please join us in celebrating Mothers’ Day from 07:00pm onwards. There will be drinks and snacks as well as exciting stalls available for you to enjoy. Tickets will be on sale in the office, the cost is R60:00 per Mom and R10:00 per raffle ticket. If you would like to be a winner of one of these wonderful prizes you need to be there on the night or send your raffle sheet along with a friend.
Wednesday 30 May - Gavin Keller - Nuturing Emotional Intelligence
How does the brain process emotions and how do we learn to link the thinking and feeling brain? The talk will take place from 7:30-9:00pm in the High School Lecture Theatre and the cost is R50:00 per ticket. We encourage all parents to attend this very interesting talk.

Tuesday 22 May - Gavin Keller - Pink Brain, Blue Brain
Don’t miss this inspirational speaker! We look forward to gaining more insight into Gender and The Brain as discussed by Gavin Keller - father, teacher, school principal and neuro-learning expert. This is often a topic discussed by parents and one that baffles us when striving towards raising our children. This talk will take place at Herzlia Constantia at 7.45 pm. Don't miss this opportunity to de-mystify how gender impacts the way we process data. We encourage all parents to attend this worthwhile talk!
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Wednesday 16 May - World General Knowledge Olympiad
A number of pupils from Grade 7-9 will be participating in the World GK Olympiad. The Olympiad will take place in the Computer room from 8:00-9:15am. We wish our pupils the very best of luck. For more information please contact Mr Helfrich at mhelfrich@herzlia.com

Sunday 3 June - Family Surf Day
Parents and pupils are reminded of our fast approaching Family Surf Day being held at Muizenberg. The event will take place from 10:00am – 1:00pm and will be co-hosted by Herzlia Middle School and Roxy Surf School. Please direct any queries to Mr Brorson on 021 464 3305.

Notification of the new uniform will be sent out to all during the third term in order to give parents sufficient time to purchase the new uniform before 1 January 2013.
