Computer Facilities
The High School utilises the most current computer technology to ensure our pupils obtain maximum benefit from modern technology.
The High School has two main computer rooms that house 38 computers. These enable the pupils to study IT (Information Technology) and CAT (Computer Applications Technology). The computers have Celeron 2.6 GHz Processors as well as 17” flat screen LCD monitors and are connected to the school network, providing internal communications as well as internet access for all. Both rooms are also fitted with data projectors that facilitate the learning process.
The Art department uses Apple Mac computers for graphic design.
Technology extends into the classrooms in the form of SmartBoards, enhancing teaching in the Business Economics, History, Afrikaans, Science and Maths rooms. These rooms, as well as many others, such as the staff workroom and lecture theatre, have network connectivity provided by the fibre optic cables that run through the school.
