My quirky memory from Herzlia Weizmann primary
I returned to school after being off for a few weeks because I had broken my leg and it was in a plaster cast. I was sitting with my class at the library and suddenly the fire drill bell went off and I didn’t know how I was going to get to the top field being so wobbly on my crutches.
Suddenly the principal at the time, Richard Friedman, arrived in the library, scooped me up and carried me and my heavy straight leg to the top field in front of the whole school. I was in Grade 6 at the time. It was so incredibly thoughtful of him and funny for the whole school.
