Please join us for an inspirational talk by Lisa Michalson, Educational Psychologist.
Lisa Michalson is an Educational Psychologist who has worked with both adults and children for over 17 years.
Her areas of expertise include play therapy and parent counselling. Her special interests include resilience strengthening and loss and bereavement counselling. Since moving to Cape Town from Johannesburg where she enjoyed a thriving practice, Lisa has set up practice here and has given workshops at schools for parents as well as teachers. Lisa has presented as guest speaker for several charity events.
On the 9th November, Lisa will share with us her personal experience of facing loss and offer life skills on how to tap into one's own resilience. These skills will be based on learning acquired from her own personal experience and from a professional perspective. This proves to be an inspiring and motivating talk followed by a question and answer session. The experience is aimed assisting us as individuals and as parents so that we may be more effective in modeling resilience to our children. Modeling resilience continues to be one of the most effective ways of teaching children how to access their own Resilience.
