Herzlia Announces New School Leadership Appointments for 2027
United Herzlia Schools is delighted to announce two important leadership appointments that will take effect from January 2027.
Following the retirement of High School Principal Shane Brorson at the end of 2026, an extensive recruitment and interview process was undertaken to identify the next leader of Herzlia High School.
We are pleased to announce that Anton Krupenia has been appointed as the new Principal of Herzlia High School.
Anton is well known and respected within both the Herzlia community and the broader Cape Town Jewish community. A Herzlia alumnus, former teacher and current Principal of Herzlia Weizmann Primary, he has successfully led Weizmann for the past 14 years. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to the values, ethos and educational excellence that define Herzlia.
As Anton transitions to his new role, we are equally delighted to announce that Benjy Blumenthal, currently Deputy Principal of Herzlia Weizmann Primary, has been appointed Principal of Weizmann Primary.
Benjy, also a Herzlia alumnus, has worked closely alongside Anton as part of the Weizmann leadership team and has played an integral role in the school’s continued success. His knowledge of the school, its pupils, staff and families positions him well to lead Weizmann into its next chapter while maintaining the strong values and standards for which the school is known.
Over the coming six months, a comprehensive handover process will take place to ensure a seamless transition at both Herzlia High School and Herzlia Weizmann Primary.
The United Herzlia Schools Board of Governors and Executive leadership team have full confidence in these appointments. We are fortunate to have two outstanding educational leaders stepping into these roles and look forward to seeing both schools continue to flourish under their leadership.
We wish Anton and Benjy every success and behatzlachah as they prepare for this exciting new chapter.
