Visits can be arranged by appointment with the Principal or School Secretary.
When To Apply
Grade 1 is the main entry point into Herzlia Primary Schools, so come meet the Principal and tour the campus. If joining in Grade 2 – 6, bring the latest school report to the meeting as well as any other educational or psychological assessments if necessary. Assessments are conducted during the interview with the Principal and Amanda Varkel, our Supporting Emotional and Educational Development Head. All placement offers are made according to the School’s Enrolment Policy.
Securing Your Spot
Enrolment is only secured when Herzlia has received the following:
- Proof of Payment for non-refundable Registration Fee of R3,000
- Completed and Signed Enrolment form
- Completed and Signed Debit Order form
- Completed Pupil Information form
- Birth Certificate
- Fees Clearance Certificate
- Signed acceptance of Herzlia’s Policies

Open Admissions Policy
Herzlia is an Independent Jewish Day School with an open admissions policy, which means that any pupil, from any background, can apply to the school. However, all pupils must respect our Jewish and Zionist ethos, study Hebrew until Grade 9 and Jewish Studies until Matric, and participate in Jewish religious, cultural and other events.
