2008 Reunion in London
2008 Reunion in London
By Beth Sher
A few of us from the 2008 Matric year decided to do a 10 year reunion since we were not able to make the Cape Town one. Five of us, Beth Sher, Julia Veitch, Jarred Amsdorf, Stacey Wagenheim and Linda Soriano live in London and decided to go to Dublin for the weekend to celebrate our 10 year reunion. We flew out to Dublin straight after work on Friday evening and arrived fairly late to our wonderful little air bnb apartment. First thing on Saturday morning we set out for a day of touring and adventure through the city.
It all started with a delicious brunch at Etheos restaurant in the town centre followed by a full tour through the city. We visited everything from Trinity College to the Keller Library, Oscar Wilde’s home and the Dublin Castle. We ended our day with a tour of the Guinness Factory and a vibey dinner out in the town. We were incredibly lucky that the weather was wonderful and the sun was shining – a very rare occurrence for Dublin.
We ended our weekend with a fry up breakfast in town before heading back to London on Sunday afternoon. It was a very special weekend for a close group of school friends from Herzlia Matric 2008. Throughout the weekend we were in close contact with our friends back home who were also celebrating a reunion at the same time in Cape Town.
